The postcard Tokyo — the skyline at blue hour, a shrine ground empty of the day's crowds, narrow lanes lit but not yet loud — exists for about forty minutes at dusk and again at first light. Most visitors miss both, arriving mid-morning or mid-evening once the frame is already crowded or already dark.
We base the stay on a high floor with a real skyline view — not for the room, but for the fifteen minutes when the light does the composing — and pair it with a dusk visit to a shrine ground before the evening crowd arrives. The itinerary bends around two windows of light rather than a list of neighborhoods.
