VIAIVE editorial policy: who controls verdicts, how conflicts are handled, how paid links are labeled, and how corrections happen. Paid placements are labeled. Editorial verdicts are not for sale.
Editorial policy

Paid presence does not buy the answer.

Summary: VIAIVE editors control every verdict. Paid relationships are disclosed before the traveler acts. Conflicts are resolved in the traveler's favor. Corrections are made when stronger evidence appears.

Hero image is illustrative, not property evidence.

DisclosureLabel first

Every partner surface has a visible relationship label before the traveler acts.

EvidenceSource aware

Openings, rates, image rights, benefits, and status claims need current source context.

CommerceClean outbound paths

Stay22-compatible provider links stay detectable when a commercial path is shown.

Separation rules

The commercial layer is visible by design.

Partners can support visibility, supply claims, provide imagery, and help travelers find availability. They cannot purchase the VIAIVE read, suppress alternatives, or turn sponsorship into an unlabeled recommendation. Every other page on this site can link back to the four answers below.

Disclosure

Marked where it matters

Sponsored, affiliate, hosted, and partner-supplied relationships are labeled near the unit.

Source control

Claims stay current

Partner claims need source context, review state, and correction paths when facts change.

Verdict control

VIAIVE keeps the answer

A partner can appear near a recommendation without controlling it.

Editorial separation

Partners can supply evidence. VIAIVE keeps the read.

Paid presence is compatible with trust only when labels, source posture, corrections, and visual provenance are visible on the same surface.

Label at the moment of attention

Paid units carry a visible sponsored or paid partner label next to the module, not hidden in a footer.

Evidence is welcome, verdicts are not sold

A partner can supply evidence, imagery, rates, benefits, and status notes. VIAIVE decides the traveler-facing read.

Claims stay source-aware

Opening dates, room readiness, availability, benefits, and image rights need a current source or a clear review state.

Image truth is part of trust

AI or illustrative imagery can enrich a partner surface, but it is labeled as illustrative and never treated as verified property evidence.

Editorial policy

What this surface resolves.

Who controls verdicts

VIAIVE editorial staff write and approve every traveler-facing verdict: reserve, wait, watch, verify, avoid, upgrade, or reroute. No partner, sponsor, or affiliate reviews or edits a verdict before publication, and no commercial team member can override an editorial conclusion. A paid relationship can place a labeled module beside a page. It cannot change what the page recommends.

How conflicts are handled

When a partner's commercial interest and the traveler's interest point in different directions, the traveler's interest governs the verdict. If a partner disputes a published read, the dispute is logged and reviewed against current source material; the verdict changes only if the evidence changes, not because the relationship is commercially valuable. Partners who withdraw over a verdict do not receive a revised verdict in exchange for continued spend.

How paid links are labeled

Paid path label → no additional cost → verdict independent → partner terms verified before booking. Every paid, sponsored, affiliate, or hosted unit carries this sequence near the action, for example: "Paid partner link. VIAIVE may earn compensation at no additional cost; editorial verdicts are written before partner paths." Outbound affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" attribution and remain provider-detectable rather than routed through opaque redirects.

How corrections happen

When VIAIVE identifies a material error — a wrong opening date, an outdated rate context, a stale availability claim, or an incorrect benefit claim — the affected page is corrected and its last-verified date is updated. Reporters, partners, and travelers can flag a suspected error at hello@viaive.com. Confirmed corrections are applied to the live page; they are not held for a future editorial cycle.

Correction contact and update history

Correction requests and partner or commercial questions go to hello@viaive.com. This policy was last reviewed 5 July 2026. Material changes to this policy carry a new last-verified date on this page — the policy itself is treated as a page requiring evidence-based correction like any other.

Methodology

Editorial policy is reviewed against the active affiliate disclosure, image governance, correction standard, and the requirement that paid presence never controls the traveler-facing verdict.
